I was just surfing the internet to research a little about data visualisation for my assignment and found this! its just amazing surfing through the web. This is a data visualisation of the various routes through a portion of the Internet.

This map is of the Internet based on the January 15, 2005. Each line is drawn between two nodes, representing two IP addresses. The length of the lines are indicative of the delay between those two nodes. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Internet_map_1024.jpg)
