In class we talked about web 2.0. Such a large growing user interaction community. But are some people at threat here? Well yes, they call it cyber bullying.

Is any one really worried about this? If i was a parent of a teenager i would be. Such things as bullying can come from the Internet. I was watching four corners and a young boy took his life because he was harassed, bullied and threatened over the Internet. Not to say something or someone could of stopped him, and that the Internet was the reason why he jumped off a bridge. But with out the Internet such bullies cant write threats on a page viewed by over 200 people or for that fact 200million. http://www.abc.net.au/4corners/content/2009/s2533505.htm

The families of those who are bullied in cyberspace want schools, governments and law enforcement authorities to take a long, hard look at the problem, and how to curb it. In Australia now, around 10 per cent of children say they are cyber-bullied. In the UK, 25 per cent. In the United States, 50 per cent.

I was alarmed at the rate in United States was 50 per cent.
